Quartz (Japan Law Twin) - PC (Perfect Crystal) Mine, Cataract Mining District, Jefferson County, Montana, USA

$260.00

The PC Mine has minimal history beyond its crystal production, which first dates to 1983. At that time, the privately owned land was partly leased from Forest Klies by W. C. Van Laer, until 1987. In 1988, Pete Knudsen, Bryant Harris, and Elvis "Buzz" Gray acquired the lease, and Knudsen would later assume full ownership in 1990. By 2005, any workable breccia was considered mined out. The deposit is now a cabin site residing on private land.

This specimen is a type B (Partly open, partly closed) law twin on matrix. It has been saw cut for display ability by the miner, Pete Knudsen.
