Pyromorphite - Little Giant Mine, Hunter Mining District, Shoshone County, Idaho, USA
The Little Giant Mine is a historic lead, zinc, and copper producer. All commercial production dates prior to 1904, with specimen collecting occuring in the decades after. Most specimens come from the #3 tunnel, formally known as the Upper Giant Prospect. Hosted in St Regis quartzite, the mine is located approximated 1.6 miles southeast of Mullan.
This is a classic example of pale green elongated pyromorphite on matrix. Crystallization is present on two naturally, well displaying faces.
