For over a century, the Herja Mine has been operated for atnimony, lead, and zinc commodities. It has produced some of the world's finest known crystalline stibnite. The mine is also type locality to Fizélyite.
This specimen is a unique genesis of galena perimorphing pyrite, which pseudomorphed pyrrhotite, with late stage sphalerite and dolomite present as well. The crystal genesis is evidenced by close examination of the edge of matrix. This old time specimen displays wonderfully and is accompanied by labels from collections of Charles M. Noll and Jimmie Dufoe.
