The Meshberger Stone quarry has been operating for crushed stone and aggregate since the 1930s. Located 7 miles southeast of Columbus, the locality lies in North Vernon Limestone, Jeffersonville Limestone and Geneva Dolomite.
This specimen is a classic elongated crystal with good champagne color. Intergrown with brecciated limestone, the crystal also displays some attractive macro growth on one of the main faces. The limestone also offers a safe natural display stand, with an aesthetic angle.
